Permit Requirements for Spring/Summer 2024

INTERNS - Interns living on campus will be required to register for the 24 Intern Spring-Summer permit. 

GVSU STUDENTS - Students parking on the downtown campus in the Seward Ramp or the Health Campus ramp will be required to register for this free permit. Student Commuter spaces in Allendale do not require a permit during the spring/summer. 

FACULTY/STAFF - Permits are required in all Faculty/Staff spaces during the spring/summer.  Faculty/Staff 23/24 permits are valid until August 31.  If you are a new f/s and starting this spring/summer, please register for the f/s permit. 



If you do not have a permit, you may obtain one from either of our offices or utilize the pay-to-park locations.

Permits are required in faculty/staff areas Monday through Thursday, 3:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and on Fridays, 3:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Residential spaces on the Pew Campus require a permit 24/7.

Overnight parking (3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.) is only permitted in residential parking areas.

Vehicles parked on the sidewalk (not in a designated parking space) or parking in a fire lane are subject to a $100 violation. Please ensure you are parking in a parking lot, in a parking space.
